Today I want to show you how you can grab your records from a Sony HiMD Recorder with usb interface (e.g. MZ-NH700) under Ubuntu Linux (Intrepid). There is only one project which deals with this topic, named
linux-minidisc. Sadly this is not yet in any repository, so we have to compile it by ourself. First of all you need to install all needed libraries

sudo apt-get install git-core build-essential automake autoconf gcc libqt4-dev libglib2.0-dev libmad0-dev

My assumption is a bare installed OpenSolaris 2008/11. The aim is to install the apcupsd daemon. First you need to install some development-stuff: gcc(SUNWgcc), gnu make (SUNWgmake) and SUNWsfwhea (lots of headers including needed usb.h) using the packagemanager. Then download the tar ball and go on:

tar zxvf apcupsd-3.14.4.tar.gz
cd apcupsd-3.14.4
sh configure --enable-usb
make
sudo make install
sudo reboot -- -r

Welcome to the first Jaiwls Tutorial. In this post I will present you how to build up a Webapplication using Jaiwls by using your favorite IDE.

If you are working on the subversion-source please make sure that you added all libraries from the distribution (included all *common-jars and surely jetty etc.), otherwise just include the binary and all it's libraries. In the subversion trunk, there are also two examples, one "Hello World" and another more complex one. The complex one is recommended. You can find all needed ressources on the Jaiwls project page.

I'm proud to announce the second version of Jaiwls today. This version has a direct support for groovy embedded, so you can start writing web application without the need of large IDEs. Now I will show you n this post how you can start up with this new feature. First of all go to the Jaiwls project page and download the newest binary version or do a svn-checkout.
